# Development commands

Run from the repository root. Toolchain and first launch: [Build from source](https://philbotar.github.io/OpenFlow/getting-started/build-from-source.html). Which checks each change needs: [Testing workflows](https://philbotar.github.io/OpenFlow/contributing/testing-workflows.html).

## Verification quick path

Default `verify` reuses `./target` and runs the CI-aligned `test-fast` lane (no desktop; Bedrock/AWS off unless desktop/featured). Opt in to the full workspace with `./scripts/verify.sh test`, and to mutation testing with `./scripts/verify.sh --deep`.

Intentional changes to the engine's public surface need an updated `crates/engine/tests/snapshots/public_api.txt` (`cargo +nightly public-api` from `crates/engine/`).
